Due to the increase in demand of craft-making ideas, there are those who posts craft pattern ideas for free. Here are a few suggested pattern ideas for your home:
Photo Frame
Every home has displayed photos framed in one or more corners of the house. You can opt to design an existing photo frame or make a new one from recycled materials. To make a photo frame, you need to prepare the following:
Personal trimmer
Scissors
Photo Frame, old or a new one is acceptable
Masking tape
Preferred stickers
Paper as template
To start with, detach the back part of the frame. Cut the paper as a background template. You may opt to use a cardstock. All you need to do is design it with a pattern which will fit your photo. For instance, the photo to be framed is a shot taken when you had your beach vacation, then seashells or a wave pattern is a good design idea. Additionally, you can also decide to put word stickers on one side of the template area.
After you are done working with your background template, you are now ready to insert the photo and showcase something unique.
Bottles
Bottles come in different forms. There are those which are plump and heavy. Some are thin and light. The shape and textures of the bottle makes it as good decorative materials in homes or offices. Furthermore, decorative bottles are nice presents to loved ones.
You can use your preferred bottle, although wine or liquor bottles are good materials to make decorative bottles. Scissors, glitter glue, and glue gun are the essential materials you need to come up with this project. Other optional materials are potpourri, ribbons, cords, folded papers, and pebbles as additional design materials depending on your preferred design.
Empty the bottle and properly clean the bottle’s interior. Leave no recesses inside the bottle. Completely dry the bottle.
Once done, prepare your glitter glue and make a pattern on the bottles exterior. Patterns may vary. It will depend on your liking. You can surround the bottle with vertical pattern lines using the glitter glue. If you have creative hands, you can draw scenery on the bottle’s exterior.
When the exterior of the bottle is dry, you can decide on the material you will put inside the bottle. Will it be small folded papers, potpourri or pebbles?
If you have completed your exterior and interior bottle design, it is high time to display your craftwork. If it is a gift, then wrap it nicely and give it away.
Patterns do not need to be intricate. You don’t even have to get hold of expensive patterns from craft stores. Work on what designs you love and create patterns out of your thoughts and perhaps emotions. Pattern-making needs to embody the personality you want to put across to people who will have the chance to see your self-made craft.
